What is Scrip?

Scrip refers to the prepaid gift cards ordered through the Great Lakes Scrip Center. The prepaid gift cards are for nationally-recognized retailers; click here to browse the online catalog of retailers.

 

How Does Scrip Work?

Prepaid gift cards are ordered by families and friends for the full face value of the card; orders are entered onto a Scrip Order Form (see below).

 

Place order forms and payment (checks only, made payable to TJ Band Patrons) in a sealed envelope and drop off in the band room in the bin marked “Scrip” before 8th period on the due date each month as listed below.

 

Karen Reyher will contact you to arrange for pickup when the orders arrive, usually in 2-3 weeks.

 

Since Scrip is the same as cash, no orders will be handed out to students without a written note from the parent or guardian. 

 

How is This a Fundraiser?

Scrip is ordered, paid for, and redeemed at the full face value of the card; TJ Band Patrons pays a discounted amount for each card and keeps the difference, which is the profit.  The amount of profit varies by retailer, but can be as high as 15%.  All of the profit is credited directly to the student’s goal setting account.

 

 

ALL ORDERS (WITH PAYMENT) ARE DUE ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH.
